Isabelle
“No Mercy” Mercier was born in Quebec Canada in 1975. During
her years at Université de Montréal she studied law which gave her
an undergraduate degree where she than began practising commercial
law. During the first 6 months of her practise she made the move to
Paris France to gain her Masters Degree and at the same time started
working for one of the premier card rooms in Paris “ Aviation Club
de France”.
It was here, where she learned how to play poker and in 2002 placed 2nd in the Masters Classic tournament in Amsterdam. The €800 No Limit Holdem game gave her, her first big win of €53,499. It wasn’t until 2004 when she was actually acknowledged for her talents in the poker world. During that year she won the World Poker Tour Ladies Event. Since then she has won and cashed in some of the world’s most prestigious events and has joined the largest online poker room – Pokerstars and is now one of the most well known Team Pokerstars players not to mention one of the most respected women in the game. Isabelle plays alongside other Team Pokerstars players such as Joe Hachem and Daniel Negreanu Isabelle runs her own fan site where she frequently responds to questions from fans on her blog, as well as update her game stats. Total winnings as of 2008 exceed $695,000.
