Poker Player Bios - Jennifer Harman
Jennifer Harman was raised in Reno Nevada which she later attended and graduated from U of N and has been playing poker since the age of eight. When the decision arose to play professional poker it caused a huge rift between her and her father.
She has become one of the most successful women players in the world in addition to a reputation for dominating cash games. A regular at the Bellagio, Harman is more often than not seen at the high stake tables. She was also a contributing writer in Doyle Brunson’s Super System 2 and covered the limit holdem chapter.
Harman has had quite a few achievements beyond the cash games including her first bracelet in the NL 2 – 7 Lowball Event during the 2000 WSOP which was one of the most impressive games in her career. Not only was that the first time she ever play 2-7, but she had a quick 5 minute tutor session with Howard Lederer prior to the game. Her second bracelet came from the 2002 $5K Limit Holdem. Jennifer Harman is a pro at Full Tilt Poker, joining fellow players Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius. Total tournament winnings to date exceed $2,500,000.
