It was a violent weekend on the Las Vegas Strip. Two separate altercations became news. One of the fights resulted in two people being stabbed at a hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino.
Fight at the Paris Las Vegas
The altercation began as a fight between two groups of people in the valet parking area of the Paris Las Vegas. Police did not release details of how the altercation began, but this is not the firts time that groups of people brawled on the Las Vegas Strip.
The two stabbed people were rushed to Sunrise Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the incident.
Bizarre Fight with Guitar
The second fight, which was reported in the Daily News, took place outside the Aria Las Vegas. This incident was between a man wielding a guitar and a man in an blue Eeyore onesie. Both were street performers of some sort, though they did not appear to be a part of the same show. Eeyore is a beloved character from the Winnie the Pooh stories.
It began when a woman who claimed to be the girlfriend of the guitar-wielding man accused the third individual of rape.
The unidentified woman (who wore a hat) said before a crowd of people on the Las Vegas Strip, “He took advantage of me f—— while I was too drunk, while my dude was f—— working.”
Charges and Counter-Charges of Rape
Meanwhile, a voice off-camera accused “you guys” — apparently referring to the woman making the charges — of drugging her. The woman in the hat denied that took, so the woman off-camera said, “You took everything I had.”
While this was occurring, the guitar-wielding man and the man in the Eeyore onesie were circling each other. The man with the guitar held it is a threatening position. At that point, the man in the Eeyore onesie told the man with the guitar, “Flex on me, fool?,” and asked him what he was going to do.
Fight outside Aria Casino
The man with the guitar ineffectually tried to use the guitar as a weapon, but the man in the onesie quickly turned the tables on him. After wrestling for perhaps 15 to 20 seconds, the man in the onesie picked up the other man (who was still holding the guitar) and bodyslammed him onto the pavement, knocking the man unconscious.
As the man in the onesie stooped to punch the unconscious man, the unconscious man’s girlfriend tried to kick and punch him. This led to a brief scuffle between the two, which quickly was broken up by a pair of male bystanders. They clearly did not want to see the woman beaten unconscious, too.
Nicholas Cage v. Vince Neil
The altercation outside Aria was not the most bizarre fight at the casino in recent memory. In April 2016, Motley Crue singer Vince Neil had a drunken brawl with a female fan, a fight which actor Nicholas Cage broke up. To do so, Nicholas Cage had to manhandle the aging rocker.
News articles described the drunken Vince Neil, who has a history of arrests for physical violence, attacked a woman who asked him for an autograph. The Daily News reported that Vince Neil “pull[ed] a woman to the ground by her hair for asking the movie star for his autograph“.
