New Jersey State Police responded to a call around 3:30 am about a stabbing incident at Harrah’s Atlantic City on Saturday morning (late Friday Night). The stabbing happened inside the Xhibition Bar at Harrah’s Casino.
When state troopers arrived, they found two men stabbed. One patron has been stabbed in the arm during an altercation inside the bar. Also, a security guard at the Xhibition Bar had been stabbed in the back.
Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center
Both men were taken to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center to treat their wounds. The State Police said that both are expected to make a full recovery.
No arrests have been made in the attack so far. At the moment, investigators for the State Police are working with staff at the bar to determine who started the fight and who was responsible for the stabbings.
One Stabbed in the Arm, One in the Back
U.S. News & World Report published a slightly different account of the altercation. US News noted that two patrons got into a brawl, perhaps just outside Harrah’s Xhibition Bar. When a security officer from the casino stepped in to break up the fight, one of the two brawlers pulled a knife and stabbed the other two.
In this account, the unarmed brawler was stabbed in the forearm, while the security staff member was stabbed in the back. In both accounts, the injuries are not considered life-threatening. US News reported the altercation happened closer to 4:00 am in the morning on Saturday.
Xhibition Bartender Intervened
In a Facebook thread about the incident, one person claimed the person alleged to have stabbed the others was caught in or near valet parking. The same poster claimed the bartender at Xhibition was the “security officer” who intervened.
2015 Xhibition Bar Stabbing
This is the second time in 17 months that a stabbing has occurred at Xhibition Bar at Harrah’s. Myron Brown, a 32-year old resident of Atlantic City, was stabbed in the right side of his abdomen during an altercation at the Xhibition Bar in October 2015.
Sgt. Greg Williams of the State Police said that Myron Brown was one of “multiple” people involved in the brawl. Mr. Brown was driven to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
